It's that time of year again... sorting out classes, ordering textbooks and EASTER - the Western event that never really caught on in Japan.
Some say it is because Japanese aren't Christian, but that doesn't stop them celebrating Christmas. I think the real reason is Japan is already chocolated-out with Valentines and White Day. They don't need another event a few weeks later selling them more chocolate.
Today we started making Easter crafts in our classes. Our Elementary students are making an Easter rabbit out of an egg. This is all great fun, but I'm not sure I can eat omelets for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day for the next week.
